Housing
Safe Homes Initiative
Our 'Safe Homes' project is dedicated to providing secure and affordable housing options to residents in need. We believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home, and we work towards achieving this goal through various community-driven interventions.
Public Safety
Police Union Contract
The City of Akron is set to negotiate a new contract with its police union. This is a crucial time to advocate for a contract that rewards and incentives good policing, while holding poor policing and policing policies to account.
Environmental Injustice
Transfer Station
Akron has been dumping and transferring its trash in Ward 5 for over 100 years. WM newest proposal to move to Archwood Ave. eliminates the injustices caused at its current Fountain St. location. However, there is potential for more injustice to happen at its new location. A well crafted Community Benefits Agreement will ensure proper safe guards and community compensation for WM doing business in Ward 5.
Leadership Development
